Dealing with Amazon is often a mixed blessing. On one hand, they bring millions of customers to their site, allowing a small publisher like WarGate to connect with sophisticated readers like you. On the other hand, they make automated "mistakes" which are often indistinguishable from outright malice. I mean... how could you even tell the difference? Once again, Nick Cole—who was famously among the first authors ever "cancelled" for writing something his former publisher didn't agree with politically—seems to be catching the short end of the stick. Amazon has killed all pre-orders for the highly anticipated third book in his Strange Company series. Their official reason? "No manuscript uploaded"—despite multiple eyes in our company verifying the upload and its status, most prominent among them Walt Robillard, WarGate's Chief Trunk Monkey. Amazon, however, is never wrong. Just ask them.
What This Means For You:
If your pre-order was cancelled and you're an Amazon customer or Kindle Unlimited subscriber, you'll need to go back Friday and purchase it again
If you'd prefer to purchase the eBook without involving Amazon, visit the WarGate store today
For collectors of signed physical books—the Strange Company 3 eBook will automatically deliver to your email when you purchase signed paperbacks of book 1 or book 2, or pre-order the signed hardcover collection
Thanks for hanging with us through these challenges, and please consider subscribing to stay in the loop for the next time Amazon has a "mistake" with one of Nick's books.
