For a soldier, his primary weapon is his earner. In survival situations, the trooper can use it to hunt a meal. In cantonment, it is the primary tool the soldier hones himself against. And in combat, it earns him the right to stay alive that day.
For the legionnaires of Galaxy’s Edge, that weapon is the N-4 rifle. Like most blaster rifles around the time of the Battle of Kublar, the N-4 is a variable output, magnetically cooled, select fire blaster carbine issued to the majority of Legion troops. A variety of magnetic locking rails along the rifle’s forearm allows the leej to attach whatever piece of kit he requires, subject to the needs of the mission. The dense impervisteel frame with graphene outer casings means the rifle can take just as much abuse as its leej counterpart. Running on easily replenished charge packs, the N-4 can sustain the warrior carrying it, even apart from a supply depot.
While the average citizen can purchase similarly patterned rifles for personal use outside of dense population zones, the House of Reason has restricted the use of the N-4 to Legion personnel only. Its ability to connect to the leej bucket and fire on burst had pushed the weapon so far into the restricted category, that those who slither through the Night Markets to find one pay top credits for it.
This is awesome, adds a nice touch the books and gives things more life and depth. Also adds to that lived in universe feel.
