We've got an all-new SGT. THOR short story for all Substack subscribers (paid & free)!
SGT. THOR: Little Sister
A few years back, we had an idea for a modern military fantasy that pitted US Army Rangers against vicious orcs, goblins, cruel giants, malignant sorcerers and just about every other monster we could come up against. We called it Forgotten Ruin.
Think what would happen if Conan went through Ranger School and carried a G17 and a .50 cal anti-material sniper rifle named Mjolnir on his adventures.
Readers and listeners fell in love with the characters and world as we explored just how much thermite it would take to bring down a dragon, what an LMG could do against a horde of pain-immune berserkers. It was a lot of kinetic fun discovering that, no matter how big and mean you are... Carl Gustav don't care.
One of the most popular character from Forgotten Ruin was the adrenaline junkie scout sniper SGT. THOR. A thrill-seeking Ranger who officially changed his name and religion to that of the old Norse gods just so he could grow a beard.
This short story sets off SGT. THOR's adventure as he goes deep into the Ruin looking for edges to test himself against. You don’t need to have read Forgotten Ruin to enjoy it.
We’re giving it away free to our Substack subscribers!
