Count me in on that road trip, I'll chip in to the gas fund AND serve as relief driver.
As far as Star Wars and the resistance stuff goes.. Its interesting to me that the "resistance"
thing started with the NuTrilogy, aka Mouse wars, and I don't think we thought much of it then because you could make the leap that they did that to differentiate from the Rebellion of the OT. Cool, whatever. But now the terminology is replacing "rebellion" in the era of the original trilogy. Its coded language, pure and simple. Its not entertainment anymore. And its funny how the rabid fanbois have defended Disney and Lucas both for some issues by saying "ITS FOR KIDS!" oh I guess immigrant rape is for kids now too? Bleh. That said, GE has limitless growth potential. Thousands of years of history, thousands of potential stories.
QUESTION FOR NEXT WEEK: I'm not sure I've heard Nick talk about this.. But what lead him into the world of writing?
Great show! That was my first time listening. The MOPP 4 talk brought me back to basic at Fort Leonard Wood in June of 2000--it was hot af!. When I deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, the pro-mask stayed in the bottom of my duffel bag 🤣
I've been listening to a LOT of audio books, over the last 6 or 7 years, and you are touching on something that has been becoming more and more evident, that being, that,
The Veterans who have begun writing,
such as you guys of the GE universe (Incredible find since book 1!),
have been producing works that are actually fresh, and,
alive.
There is something so different about reading books written by people who have actually, LIVED, versus reading the works of people who began their live...
As a GWOT vet, I love WarGate books. All of them! Amazon pulling their BS really pisses me off. These books are therapeutic for me and others. Thank you guys for making them!

OH MY LAWD! What did you use for a pillow, then?
The MOPP boots got a bit better, they changed them over to the weather wet boot style in the late 90s...so nice of them...but it wasn't any better.

Amen on the Audio Books for Truckers.
I can't believe I'm going to say that I look forward to heading off, just so I can read my GE / Channeyverse / Hamilton, et al., but I do.
Very,

much.
Be Blessed in your battle with the God less horde
